Enlightenment Intensive Retreat (Mandali Retreat Center, IT)
17.11.2024 - 22.11.2024
Have you ever wondered Who you are without all your stories? What is your Essential Nature? And what is your authentic purpose?
The intensive retreat is for those with a deep commitment to awakening. It facilitates the reconnection to your Authentic Self, free from social masks and conditionings. It is a combination of ancient Zen practice with modern enquiry techniques. The process includes a physical, emotional and spiritual detox and periods of social silence.
The primary aim is to crack open the challenges that mask your true self and to allow your essential nature to flow and bloom.
What is revealed is your authentic Self, a direct knowing of ‘Who you are’. Knowing the essential Self naturally reveals a deep sense of satisfaction.
This retreat will take place at the beautiful Mandali Retreat Center in the mountains surrounding Lake Orta in northern Italy. Participants will be placed in a completely secure environment with no distractions.
What is Enlightenment Intensive?
Enlightenment intensive (also known as Satori or Who is in?) is a residential group retreat which takes a total of 6 days (including arrival and departure days). The Intensive process itself is 3 days followed by days of integration techniques and relaxation.
This highly efficient self-discovery process was created by Charles Berner in the 1960’s. It uses a specific technique called Dyad, to accelerate spiritual development and personal growth to arrive directly to the Essential Self, free from conditioning and self-image structures.
It is the combination of the ancient Zen self-inquiry meditation with Western communication techniques. The process includes a physical, emotional and spiritual detox. For first 3 days the retreat is held in silence with the exception of the Dyads and Sharing. There are 10 to 12 Dyads a day. During the day there are five meals breaks, sessions for movement, rest, walking contemplations and meditation.
What is a dyad?
Dyads are enquiry sessions that are held with two people. One person is listening in stillness the other communicating their direct experience of this moment in response to the question ‘Who am I?’ After five minutes they exchange the role. This is repeated for 30 or 40 minutes and is followed by a break. The effect is stunning … each Dyad clears the mind of the day-to-day chitchat and gives space to authentic Self to be.
‘To know the answer directly’ is known in the traditional Zen practice as a ‘Satori’ … A glimpse of enlightenment, or more simply: the realisation of Self.
“ I have tested this technique and I have compared it to other methods of enlightenment. This technique is about 50-100 times more rapid in producing enlightenment experiences than the classical techniques. ” Charles Berner
